Remember the days of unwatered plants and dying flowers? Never again with our soil moisture sensor and automatic watering system. Two students who love natural foliage created a way for two particle argons to monitor and track soil moisture, adding water through drip lines when needed. Our code allows for automated watering as well as water to be manually turned on and off from your smartphone. The moisture sensor uses an ambient air humidity sensor to calibrate a baseline moisture value. Each particle argon is enclosed in a 3D printed box. These boxes were designed with tight tolerances resulting in a water resistant design protecting batteries, argons, relays, sensors and much more. With minor adjustments and replication this code can be applicable for a full scale automated residential irrigation system.
